Hodes Weill Hires Michael Mendelsohn As Senior Member of Global Distribution Team

Mendelsohn joins as Principal focused on growing the firm’s global coverage of institutions

Hodes Weill & Associates (Hodes Weill), a global advisory firm focused on the real estate and real assets investment and funds management industry, today announced that Michael Mendelsohn has joined the firm as Principal. In this role, he is responsible for covering institutional investors and consultants in North America, and will work closely with Partner Matt Hershey to grow the firm’s industry-leading global distribution platform.

Most recently, Mendelsohn was a Principal at Blackstone, where he spent the last 10 years focused on expanding the firm’s distribution footprint. His primary responsibilities included business development, capital raising, and client engagement for Blackstone’s private and public funds. Mendelsohn will leverage his expertise across multiple client channels and close relationships with institutions to support Hodes Weill’s offerings and transactions.

After earning a B.S. in Finance from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware, Mendelsohn began his career at Citigroup Alternative Investments, where he served in a variety of capacities including institutional investor relations and fund management for the firm’s private equity and real estate businesses. Mendelsohn is the latest in a series of strategic senior-level hires that Hodes Weill has made to expand its distribution platform. These hires include Rima Batal, Yoshiko Nakamura and Alexander Sadighi, who joined as Vice Presidents to cover European and Middle Eastern, Japanese and North American institutions, respectively. In addition, Hodes Weill recently announced its expansion into real assets, with the hiring of Mark Rudovic as Principal, who joined from Albourne Partners.
