Recognize Leaders in Safety Excellence & Vision as National Safety Month Kicks Off

Keller Safety Professional of the Year (SPOTY) Awards. This coincides with the kickoff of June as National Safety Month. The awards recognize workplace safety professionals who achieve excellence in safety for their companies through a culture and vision for safety. This year, nomination forms include recognition for those addressing safety of employees and others during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nominations are open through July 15, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. CST at jjkeller.com/spoty.

The winning safety professionals are chosen by members of J. J. Keller’s staff of 70+ safety consultants and editors. This year, guest judge Benita Mehta, chief editor of Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (ISHN) will join the J. J. Keller panel of judges. The winners will be announced in September.

The first-place J. J. Keller SPOTY Award winner receives more than $10,000 in cash and prizes. This includes $2,500, a plaque a free one-year subscription to the J. J. Keller® SAFETY MANAGEMENT SUITE for the winner and their staff (up to 10 users), and $1,200 in free online training from J. J. Keller.

SPOTY nominations are open to safety professionals overseeing operations in the United States. Awards are presented for the Safety Professional of the Year as well as second and third places. Third place receives $50, a plaque and certificate, and a free one-year subscription to the J. J. Keller® SAFETY MANAGEMENT SUITE.
