University of Phoenix Announces Student Winners of HOSA-Future Health Professionals Scholarships

University of Phoenix provides two scholarships to support students pursuing health care studies

The University of Phoenix announces student winners of the 2022 HOSA-Future Health Professionals scholarships at the annual scholarship event of HOSA-Future Health Professionals, a global student-led nonprofit empowering students to become leaders in the global health community. The scholarships are for individuals planning to pursue health care profession studies and this year’s winners, Ajay Macherla, of Pennsylvania and Madison Wilson, of Alabama, receiving a scholarship of $1,000 each, were announced at the June 22 scholarship event in Nashville, Tennessee.

“University of Phoenix is a longtime supporter of HOSA and the mission to create student leaders in health care professions,” states Collene Bay Andersen, vice president, Corporate & Academic Alliances, Workforce Solutions. “These scholarships help support student goals and their contributions to the future of health care.”

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a global student-led organization with the mission to empower members to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience, and which actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. The HOSA-Future Health Professionals Scholarship Program allows sponsors to contribute $1,000 per award to recognize students’ academic excellence. This year’s program saw 100 scholarship recipients.

“HOSA-Future Health Professionals is appreciative of the University of Phoenix's support of HOSA’s 2022 scholarship program and of students preparing to be our next generation of health professionals,” states Jim Koeninger, Ph.D., Executive Director, HOSA-Future Health Professionals. “We are proud to work with partners such as University of Phoenix to be able to present these scholarship awards each year.”
