Charles River Associates (NASDAQ: CRAI), a worldwide leader in providing economic, financial and management consulting services, today announced that Eric Nierenberg has joined the company’s senior management team as a vice president. Dr. Nierenberg will be based in the company’s Boston headquarters.

Dr. Nierenberg previously served as Chief Strategy Officer for MassPRIM, the Massachusetts state pension fund. Prior to that, he was an equity portfolio manager at LMCG Investments and Independence Investments. He is an adjunct professor of finance at the International Business School of Brandeis University where he teaches graduate-level courses in options and derivatives, behavioral economics and finance, investments, and portfolio management. Dr. Nierenberg holds a BA and MA in economics from Harvard University and a PhD in business economics from Harvard Business School.
