Krispy Krunchy Chicken® Hits the Jackpot at 2024 NACS Show

Celebrates Winning Business Model, Innovative Menu Additions, Industry Honors

Krispy Krunchy Chicken®, one of the fastest-growing hot food concepts in the convenience store business with over 3,000 locations, took center stage at this year’s National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show, held from October 8-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. As the industry’s premier event, the NACS Show brings together the top players from across the country, and Krispy Krunchy® delivered a standout experience, serving up nearly 10,000 pounds of its signature, mildly Cajun-spiced fried chicken to an eager crowd of attendees, partners, and potential new operators.

Krispy Krunchy® has attended NACS every year since 2007, showcasing its proven business model that supports both chain and independent retailers in expanding their foodservice offerings. Attendees explored the brand’s comprehensive operator resources, third-party delivery solutions, and met its top-tier leadership team, all while getting a sneak peek at (and taste of) exciting new menu innovations slated for 2025.

Krispy Krunchy® had plenty to celebrate at this year’s show, earning multiple accolades that cemented its status as an industry frontrunner. The brand’s Cajun Chicken Sandwich took home top honors, being named one of Convenience Store News’ 2024 Best New Products and a winner in CSP’s 2024 Retailer Choice Best New Products Contest, solidifying its place as a must-have menu item.

In addition, Alice Crowder, Krispy Krunchy’s® Chief Marketing Officer, was named a Top Women in Convenience (TWIC) honoree by Convenience Store News in the Senior-Level Leader category. To cap off the awards, two members of the Krispy Krunchy Chicken marketing team, Amber Smith, Director of Creative Services, and Stacy Fields, Director of Marketing Technology, were named as part of Convenience Store News’ Future Leaders in Convenience 2024 class.

Attendees at the Krispy Krunchy® booth were treated to the brand’s craveable bone-in fried chicken, hand-breaded chicken tenders and signature biscuits in addition to its newest menu innovation, Chicken Nuggets. The new Chicken Nuggets are currently available in select markets and a system-wide national rollout is planned for February 2025.

To close out the show, Krispy Krunchy® and the Krispy Krunchy Foundation donated over 1,100 pounds of hot food and meals, with donations still ongoing, to City Mission of Las Vegas and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Through its partnership with Goodr, a food waste management company focused on reducing food waste and addressing food insecurity, along with additional contributions from other vendors, Krispy Krunchy® has provided meals for over 600 people across Southern Nevada, helping to alleviate hunger in the local community.
