“Rees is joining Thryv at a pivotal time,” said Grant Freeman, President of Thryv. “We’ll rely on his product strategy expertise as we expand the number of Centers offered on our customizable platform and accelerate the integration of AI into our offerings. He has an impressive track record of delivering products that drive high adoption and customer value creation. His experience will be invaluable as we deliver on our promise of modernizing how small businesses operate.”

Johnson brings 20+ years of product leadership to his role at Thryv. Most recently he served as chief product officer for computer security software company Forcepoint. Prior to that, he was SVP of Product Management for Symantec’s enterprise division. At both companies he was charged with the migration of products and customers to support a full SaaS business model. He has also held senior leadership roles at Intel and McAfee Labs. Johnson received an MBA, Finance, Information Systems and Strategic Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Finance from the University of Utah.

“I can’t think of many jobs more challenging than that of a small business owner, so it is an honor to lead a talented product team dedicated to making it easier for them to operate and grow their business,” said Johnson. “I’m looking forward to leading the next phase of Thryv’s platform innovation and making sure all of our clients experience its considerable benefits.”
