Newman brings over 20 years of legal experience, with a strong background in commercial litigation, business law, franchise law, and employment law. Her work spans the real estate and retail property sectors, including development, management, and operations. She joined KW in August 2021 as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel.

Previously, Newman served as Senior Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel at Brookfield Properties Retail Group, and as Vice President and Senior Associate General Counsel at General Growth Properties, which became the retail arm of Brookfield Properties in 2018.

Newman began her career as an associate at Jenner & Block, a prominent Chicago-based full-service law firm known for its expertise in litigation and corporate matters.
