Forty-two awardees were chosen from nonprofits across the US that had applied for the grant program earlier this year from April 1 to June 30. The Sensata Foundation’s Allocations Committee, consisting of Sensata employees, reviewed more than 150 applications – a record number – to make grant funding recommendations to the Foundation’s Officers and Board for final approval.

Grant recipients are US-based 501(c)(3) charitable entities in communities where Sensata employees live and work, and grants support the Sensata Foundation’s priorities of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education and strengthening local communities. Highlights from the awards include:

  • 42 grants awarded, with an average grant amount of $12,040.
  • Eight new grantees.
  • Grantees are located in seven US states where Sensata employees live and work.

“The Sensata Foundation is proud to continue its tradition of supporting US nonprofits aligned with its mission, especially as charitable organizations are facing greater economic uncertainty,” said David Britton, President, Sensata Foundation. “We thank Sensata Technologies for its support and our US-based Sensata employees whose contributions make the Sensata Foundation’s work possible year after year.”
