In his new leadership position, McDonnell will oversee strategic growth initiatives across the region, focusing on talent recruitment and retention, business development and fostering collaboration across Cushman & Wakefield’s service lines to enhance client outcomes.

"We are excited to welcome Tom back to the firm," said Victoria Malkin, President, Americas Markets. "At Cushman & Wakefield, we are committed to recruiting the best and brightest talent, and Tom’s extensive background in leasing and asset management and proven ability to foster strong client relationships will be instrumental as we as we continue to drive growth and deliver exceptional value to our clients while expanding our presence in the Northwest.”

In addition to leading the Northwest Region, McDonnell will also serve as the Head of Americas Office Agency Leasing. In this capacity, he will drive strategic client engagement, spearhead business development opportunities, and implement best practices across the firm’s Office Agency Leasing platform.

McDonnell joins Cushman & Wakefield from Shorenstein, where he served as National Leasing Director, overseeing the firm’s 20 million-square-foot portfolio across 18 major U.S. markets. Throughout his 20-year tenure, he successfully arranged more than 600 lease agreements totaling over $1 billion. Before his time at Shorenstein, McDonnell was with Cushman & Wakefield in San Francisco, specializing in tenant and landlord representation.

"I’m thrilled to return to Cushman & Wakefield in this leadership role at such an exciting time for the firm," said McDonnell. "I look forward to collaborating with our talented teams across the Northwest Region and beyond to accelerate business growth, enhance client partnerships and deliver innovative real estate solutions. This is an exciting time for the firm and the industry, and I can’t wait to get started."
