Learning Care Group, Inc., the second-largest for-profit early education child care provider in North America, announced today that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark R. Bierley’s planned retirement will begin on July 1, 2025. Current President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) John Bork will succeed Mr. Bierley. To facilitate a seamless transition, Mr. Bierley will serve in an advisory role through at least the end of 2025.

“While I am excited to begin my next chapter, this announcement is bittersweet,” said Mr. Bierley. “Serving as CEO of Learning Care Group has been truly inspirational. I am incredibly proud of this team of professionals, our innovative solutions, and our dedication to supporting families and providing children with the skills needed for successful futures. I leave fully confident in John’s leadership, vision, and commitment to continuing this positive momentum.”

Mr. Bork joined Learning Care Group in 2024 as part of a planned succession strategy, bringing more than 20 years of experience in driving growth, scaling businesses, and fostering strong leadership teams.
