Regions Bank Launches Disaster-Recovery Financial Services Following March 14, 15 Tornadoes

Bankers available to provide customized support for consumers and businesses.

Regions Bank on Thursday announced a series of disaster-recovery financial services designed to help people and businesses impacted by severe storms and tornadoes that swept through much of the Midwest and Southeast on March 14 and 15.

“Our teams have experience serving communities in good times and bad, and in addition to the options we’re announcing today, we’re also ready to listen to your unique needs and see where we can help,” said John Jordan, head of Retail for Regions Bank. “Our hearts are with everyone impacted, and we are here to support people, families and businesses as recovery moves forward.”

Areas covered by these offers include several communities2 in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi and Missouri. Additional communities may be added pending further damage assessments. Special options available for a limited time in affected communities include:

  • Regions Mortgage Disaster Relief Purchase and Renovation loan programs.1
  • Regions will waive ATM surcharges for non-Regions customers using Regions ATMs in the impacted areas2 for seven days beginning March 20, 2025.
  • Non-Regions ATM fees will be waived when Regions customers use other banks’ ATMs in the impacted areas2 for at least seven days beginning March 20, 2025. (Note: Fees charged by other banks or ATM owners may still apply.)
  • No check-cashing fees will be charged for FEMA-issued checks when cashed in a Regions branch.3
  • Personal and business loan payment assistance is available.4
  • Payment deferrals are available for current credit card holders.4
  • Business loan payment deferrals of up to 90 days are available, expiring June 19, 2025. 4
  • One penalty-free CD withdrawal is available upon request (unless within seven days of issuance or renewal) for up to 90 days, expiring June 19, 2025.
  • An interest rate discount of up to 0.50% on new personal unsecured loans when customers in impacted areas apply in a branch or by phone5. The offer is available for up to 90 days, expiring June 19, 2025.
  • An interest rate discount of up to 0.50% on non-business auto loans when customers in impacted areas apply in-branch or by phone6. The offer is available for up to 90 days, expiring June 19, 2025.
