Designed to help Texas subcontractors install faster, reduce rework, and pass inspection with confidence

Race Rock announced the release of its TxDOT-approved one-piece sign clamp, engineered specifically for the triangular slip base sign support systems used on Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) highway projects.

Reviewed and approved by TxDOT, the clamp-style casting utilizes a two-bolt clamping system and is approved for use when contract documents require the installation of a triangular slip base sign support system, which is commonly used in breakaway sign post applications. The product was tested under demanding conditions and evaluated across multiple TxDOT districts.

Developed in response to TxDOT’s evolving preferences and the industry’s move away from older set screw clamp designs, Race Rock’s one-piece sign clamp offers a simpler, more reliable installation solution for Texas subcontractors and installers.

Unlike traditional multi-piece or welded clamp systems, the one-piece cast design eliminates weld failure risk and reduces installation complexity. The clamp slides into position and secures using only two bolts with the same socket size, minimizing tool changes, installation time, and jobsite errors.

“Texas contractors need products that install efficiently and meet TxDOT requirements without surprises,” said Christine Klote, Vice President & General Manager of Race Rock Highway Safety Products. “This one-piece sign clamp was designed specifically for Texas highway projects to help subcontractors work faster, reduce rework, and pass inspection with confidence.”

The Texas Corrugators clamp style casting is made in the USA and is now available for Texas highway sign installations where triangular slip base sign supports are specified.
