China-Cambodia “Chongqing Auto Workshop” Automotive Technology Training Class Held in Chongqing

By: Get News

Recently, the "Chongqing Auto Workshop" automotive technology training class, led by Chongqing University of Technology and jointly organized with Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering and Chongqing Lixin Vocational Education Center, took place at Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering. The training welcomed 28 technical managers from Cambodia's Ministry of Industry, enterprises, and universities.

The training aims to implement the "Chongqing 'Chongqing Automotive Outbound' Action Plan," focusing on empowering industrial upgrades through technology. It centers on the core technologies of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and covers four major modules: batteries, motors, electronic control, and charging stations. Participants received training in skills related to NEV structural understanding, fault diagnosis, charging system maintenance, power battery testing, and electric drive disassembly and assembly. The training utilized practical teaching methods, guiding students to quickly grasp China's NEV technical standards and maintenance skills through hands-on practice.

"This training closely aligns with the development needs of Cambodia's automotive industry and effectively enhances the professional practical abilities of the trainees," said Jin Thong, Deputy Director of the Office of the Cambodian Ministry of Industry. He emphasized that Cambodia's NEV industry urgently requires localized high-tech talent, and this training will significantly promote the entry of Chinese NEV technology into the Cambodian market, facilitating cooperation between the two countries' related industries.

In recent years, Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering has collaborated with Chinese automotive companies like BYD to jointly establish NEV industry colleges in ASEAN member countries. They have led the formulation and export of over 20 international professional standards and curriculum standards, exploring joint, targeted, and order-based talent cultivation models. This innovative approach has created a new educational cooperation model that integrates the "education chain + industry chain + international chain," providing "engineering solutions" for training localized talent in NEVs for ASEAN countries.

Zhang Zhigang, President of Chongqing Vocational Institute of Engineering, stated that in the future, the school would continue to deepen international cooperation in vocational education and the integration of industry and education to meet the demand for versatile talent in automotive exports. They aim to expand the breadth and depth of technology and standard output, supporting the high-quality "outbound" development of China's NEV industry.
