The 2025 INCLUSION·Conference on the Bund officially kicked off today at the Huangpu World Expo Park in Shanghai, China. Centered on the theme “Path to Innovative Growth,” this year’s conference brings together global leaders to exchange ideas and explore how finance and technology can drive innovation and sustainable growth. The event runs from September 11 to 13.
The conference brings together more than 550 industry leaders, including 16 distinguished scholars, to share insights on the future of finance and technology. Notable speakers include Richard Sutton, 2024 AM Turing Award Winner and Computing Science Professor at the University of Alberta; YuvalNoah Harari, historian, philosopher, and bestselling author of Sapiens; and Wang Jian, Founder of Alibaba Cloud and Director of Zhejiang Lab.
As one of the world’s premier platforms for showcasing global fintech practices, the conference will also see the launch of several major technology applications and industry standards.
Beyond the Main Forum on the morning of September 11, the program includes more than 40 Insight Forums, 18 Creator Stage sessions featuring emerging tech startups, three AI Competitions, a 10,000-square-meter Technology Exhibition, and a 5,000-square-meter Technology Marketplace.
The Insight Forums will explore five core themes:

The Technology Exhibition will highlight the latest advances in AI—from large language models (LLMs) to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)—along with the foundational infrastructure that enables them, including data systems, computing architecture, and trust and safety mechanisms. Applications across industries such as healthcare, finance, transportation, manufacturing, agriculture, and energy will showcase how AI is shaping real-world operations.
Meanwhile, the Technology Marketplace will feature more than 100 cutting-edge robotic products, gathered for the first time on the Bund. Attendees will be able to experience firsthand how robots are poised to enhance daily life in meaningful and practical ways.
