To mark a quarter of a century, the company, originally founded by Karl Chopra in 1995, held a no-expenses-spared party to which team members, partners, friends, and loyal customers were welcomed to celebrate, hosted at the beautiful Kings Oak Hotel in High Beach, Essex.
Design911's Evolution Over Its 25-Year History
Chopra, a keen Porsche enthusiast, launched Design911 based on a straightforward concept - to make it easier for owners, restorers and drivers to find the right parts they needed.
As a business that has always been focused on real people and exceptional service, Chopra decided to transfer a majority 75% ownership share to his staff in 2024. This was in recognition of the value each individual brings to the firm, and to show appreciation for their commitment to the company’s values. He remains the Managing Director and continues to play an active part in day-to-day operations.
In its years of trading, Design911 has become a name synonymous with authentic expertise around the world, and today provides retail and trade delivery services, specialist sourcing support and access to collectables for clients across the UK and Europe, with warehouses in both Britain and the Netherlands.
