Yosha Law Firm Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Amazon Following Preventable Tragedy That Claimed a Truck Driver’s Life

Indianapolis, IndianaYosha Law Firm has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Amazon following the tragic and preventable death of 66-year-old delivery truck driver, Harvail Singh Dhillon, who was killed in the early morning hours of October 20, 2022.

Mr. Dhillon, an Amazon-contracted driver, was struck and killed by another truck as he attempted to cross a westbound lane near an Amazon distribution center. Confusing and contradictory signage at the facility made it unclear how trucks should access the site, forcing Mr. Dhillon to exit his vehicle in search of directions.

What makes this tragedy even more unacceptable is that a similar incident, resulting in serious injury, occurred in the same location just six weeks prior. Despite being aware of the danger, Amazon failed to take meaningful action to improve safety.

“This is a tragedy that should have never happened,” said Attorney Brandon Yosha, lead counsel for the Dhillon family. “Amazon had an opportunity, after the first incident, to put safeguards in place. But instead, they prioritized operational efficiency over human life. Harvail Singh Dhillon died because no one acted when they had the chance.”

At the time of his death, Mr. Dhillon was simply trying to do his job and provide for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and friend whose loss is deeply felt across his community.

“Amazon may have lost a driver that day, but a family lost its heart,” Yosha continued. “This lawsuit isn’t just about one man. It’s about holding corporations accountable so no other family has to suffer this kind of loss.”

Jeet Singh, Mr. Dhillon’s son, made the difficult decision to pursue justice. “Amazon is a big corporation. They don’t care. My father was nothing to them. But something needs to be done. I took a step. Let’s see who’s behind me.”

The suit alleges Amazon’s negligence in failing to address a known hazard and putting profits over people. Yosha Law Firm aims to shine a light on this systemic indifference and demand accountability.

“We will not back down,” Yosha stated. “We’re committed to fighting for this family and sending a message to every corporation that believes human lives are expendable in the pursuit of profit.”
