Lillyhall Cumbria EUI Injector Testing – Delphi-Approved Diesel Services Updated

The company is one of only 12 authorised Delphi commercial test and repair centres in the UK, specialising in electronic unit injectors (EUI), electronic unit pumps (EUP), and smart type injectors. These systems are typically fitted to Volvo, Renault, DAF, Pacar, and Mercedes vehicles.

With this update, testing can now be carried out using Hartridge AVM-2 PC test benches, as recommended by Delphi. As a result, transport operators and haulage companies across West Cumbria are now provided with assurances that injectors and pumps have been serviced to manufacturer’s standards.

Efforts to improve diesel emissions, power, and efficiency have led to the development of ever more sophisticated injection systems. Common rail systems are perhaps the most familiar systems. Increasingly, electronic unit injectors and pumps are the technology, developed by manufacturers like Delphi. These are the preferred systems in commercial operations such as heavy haulage, transport and agriculture, owing to the level of flexibility and control provided. However, as diesel injection systems become more complex, so do the methods and equipment required to test and repair them.

Extract Engineering are now at the leading edge of EUI and EUP component, testing, repairing, reconditioning and recoding. Their latest investment in test bench technology is the Hartridge AVM-2 PC test bench with an HK 1500 cam box, allowing it to accurately recreate conditions within a diesel engine. Using this advanced equipment, injection systems can be diagnosed, tested, repaired, and recoded to Delphi OEM specifications.

Fleet operators no longer have to pack their components off to Preston or the Midlands for testing. The service provided by Extract Engineering provides them with the convenience of a local test and repair outlet, while also giving peace-of-mind that their engine will operate with optimum performance and efficiency.
