The Neck Cloud has updated its cervical traction device, offering gym-goers and athletes a three-way recovery system designed to relieve post-workout neck pain and back soreness at home.

-- The Neck Cloud has released an updated version of its cervical traction device, refining its three-way decompression system to better address post-workout neck pain and back soreness among gym-goers and athletes. The device combines cervical traction, acupressure, and sub-occipital muscle stimulation to target the root causes of tension and stiffness that build up after training sessions.

The update reflects growing evidence of cervical strain among active individuals. A 2024 study in The Journal of Craniofacial Surgery reported a nearly 33% increase in weightlifting-related head and neck injuries between 2013 and 2022. Despite this rise, neck recovery remains overlooked, with most gym-goers focusing on larger muscle groups after training. The cervical spine, which absorbs significant load during lifting, overhead movements, and cardio, often receives little targeted care, leading to tension buildup, stiffness, reduced mobility, and discomfort that can affect both daily activity and training performance.

To address these gaps in post-workout recovery, the Neck Cloud device focuses on relieving cervical strain at its source. It works by decompressing spinal discs while stimulating the sub-occipital muscles at the base of the skull, where tension from lifting, poor posture, and prolonged desk work tends to accumulate. Forward head posture during lifts can add significant load per inch of forward tilt, compounding stress on the cervical spine over time. By targeting disc decompression and muscle stimulation together, the three-way system works to counteract these mechanical stressors after each session.

The product features two sides: a convex surface for gentle stretching suited to beginners or those with acute pain, and a concave C-shaped surface for deeper muscle release. Sessions take ten minutes, and the portable design requires no electricity or special setup, making it practical for use at home, at the gym, or while traveling.

"Fitness enthusiasts often experience neck strain from weightlifting and intense training that affects their next workout performance," a company representative said. "This tool gives athletes a simple way to address that tension at home, supporting faster recovery between sessions."

Chiropractors have evaluated the device in clinical settings and noted improvements among clients with cervical complaints, recommending it as a practical option for between-session relief.
