Security On-Demand Announces Award of Grant Funding of $1.2M

The National Center for Research and Development in the European Union will award Security On-Demand its second research grant to accelerate cyber threat analytics technology development

SAN DIEGO - November 10, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

Security On-Demand (SOD), a leader in cyber threat detection and analytics services, announced today the award of grant funding from the National Center for Research and Development. The EU-sourced funding, equating to $1.2 million USD, will facilitate the development of SOD's proprietary Big Data analytics technology and set the stage for SOD's further development as a leading technology innovator in the cybersecurity industry.

SOD's AQ Technology is a massively scalable Big Data Analytics engine that offers several advantages over traditional technologies used in cybersecurity today. AQ Technology exceeds performance limitations of relational and columnar databases, and inherently identifies and maps out anomalies within the data with an extremely small storage footprint of the original dataset. AQ Technology is the differentiator in SOD's ability to find advanced threats, particularly in finding data anomalies that can be interpreted as cyber threats.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue developing our AQ Technology core that will further our groundbreaking approach in detecting unknown threats," says Peter Bybee, CEO of Security On-Demand. "The grant funding will allow us to innovate and build exciting new analytics capabilities while furthering our investment in our incredible R&D teams in the U.S. and Poland."

Within the European Union, the National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) awards funds to a select group of companies each year in a highly competitive process to support scientific research endeavors. With additional grant funding proceeds, Security On-Demand plans to build on its core ThreatWatch platform with new threat detection capabilities.
