Copyfast Printing is printing removable window clings, window decals and A-frame sidewalk signs for retailers, restaurants and salons preparing storefronts for the holiday season. The work is produced at the company's shop on North Hayden Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Storefront windows are among the most visible spaces a small business has, and many shops change window graphics several times a year for holidays, sales periods and events. Removable materials allow businesses to update windows without scraping glass or hiring a sign installer.
"Window graphics are the cheapest billboard a shop owns," said Tom, owner of Copyfast Printing. "A lot of our customers swap them out for the holidays and again in January."
The shop's custom window clings are static-cling films that hold to glass without adhesive and can be removed and reused. They are often used for seasonal designs and messages that will come down after a few weeks.
For longer-lasting graphics, Copyfast produces custom window decals with adhesive backing, including perforated window film that allows people inside to see out while the graphic is visible from the street.
At the curb, the company prints A-frame sign inserts and complete sidewalk signs for daily specials, hours and holiday events. Inserts can be swapped as promotions change while the frame stays in use.
"For holiday hours, we tell people to use big numbers and as few words as possible," Tom said. "Someone driving by on Hayden Road has about two seconds to read it."
Copyfast's design team can create seasonal graphics using a business's logo and colors, or print artwork supplied by the customer. Measurements of the windows are used to size graphics accurately before printing.
Perforated film and decals are printed on outdoor-rated vinyl that holds up to direct sun, which matters for south- and west-facing storefront windows in the Valley.
Restaurants and salons often pair window graphics with matching A-frame inserts and counter cards so the same holiday message appears from the street to the register.
Clings and decals can be applied by store staff, and the shop provides simple application instructions with each order.
The company recommends ordering holiday window graphics by late November so they can be in place before the busiest shopping weeks.
Businesses throughout Scottsdale and the Phoenix area can place orders in person, by phone or through the company website.
