Menno Place CEO Wins National HR Champion Award

By: PR Leap
(PRLeap.com) Menno Place CEO, Sujata Connors, has won the 2025 Dentsu Canada Award for HR Champion (CEO) at this year's Canadian HR Awards! This award recognizes the CEO who has driven successful HR strategies from the top by putting people first and championing innovative HR values. Sujata was initially selected as one of nine finalists chosen from hundreds of nominations nationwide. She won and received the award at a gala event in Toronto on September 18th.

Writing about the honour Mrs. Connors said:
This recognition is not mine alone - it belongs to the incredible team at Menno Place. I am especially grateful for their courage, compassion, and determination to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and wants to be. Your commitment to building a people-first culture inspires me every day.

Sujata was nominated by Loradonna Botter, Executive Director of People and Culture Strategies for Menno Place. Loradonna explained the reason for the nomination saying:

I nominated Sujata because she has shown that true leadership means making people and culture a strategic priority, shaping both our workplace and our future. She has strengthened our leadership team, and built a culture rooted in care, trust, and inclusion.

At the same time, she listens deeply, celebrates staff through treat carts and other special events, and ensures everyone feels seen and valued. This award is a reflection not only of her visionary leadership, but also of the heart of Menno Place, a place where people truly belong and feel comfortable being themselves.

Menno Place is committed to idea that "If it matters to you, it matters to us." We see that modeled from our CEO every day and now the rest of Canada gets a chance to see it too. Congratulations Sujata!
