CHICAGO - June 20, 2025 - PRLog -- American Mensa's Annual Gathering, the biggest gathering of Mensa members anywhere dating back to 1963, is a five-day event where nearly 1,800 members of the high-IQ organization and their guests explore hundreds of unique programs.
WHEN/WHERE: July 2-6, 2025, at the Hilton Chicago.
WHO: Mensa members and guests will be joined by scores of speakers, highlighted by accomplished author and quizmaster Ken Jennings, who will address a sold-out Gala Dinner audience on Artificial Intelligence: Are Humans in Jeopardy? Other notable programs include:
- The Mensa Foundation's Colloquium (July 1 from 1-5 p.m.) features an expert panel exploring the evolving role of human intelligence in an increasingly AI-driven world, unveiling what makes us uniquely human in the face of advancing technology.
- Mark Lach, creative mind behind Titanic, The Exhibition, relives his creative journeys, including his exciting and emotional dive to the wreck of the RMS Titanic and his adventures with King Tut's tomb and the Vatican's private libraries.
- Dr. Wendy L. Freedman, University of Chicago professor of astronomy and astrophysics, explains how the James Webb Space Telescope is defying our understanding of the cosmos.
- Award-winning journalist Sean Carberry brings his extensive war-zone experiences to bear as he explores the effect of war on the mind.
- James Peterson, once known as the Playboy Advisor during the magazine's glory years, was the man who explained love and sex. Now he explains it to us.
- Dr. Shane Larson, Northwestern University professor of physics, wraps us in the fabric of time and space for a journey to wormholes, space warps, and tunnels to "otherwheres."
