Premier plastic extrusion industry event will celebrate its 10th anniversary by hosting a standalone conference May 20-21, 2025 in Boston, MA

Plastics Technology, the world’s leading media brand covering plastics manufacturing technologies and processes, has announced that its Extrusion Conference will take place at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza May 20-21, 2025.
Launched in 2015 as the only extrusion-based industry event in North America, the Extrusion Conference most recently was held as part of Plastics Technology’s PTXPO tradeshow. The strategic shift back to a standalone event comes on the heels of the conference’s 10th anniversary and is designed to better serve the needs of the extrusion community.
Geograpically, New England has long been a hub of the extrusion industry and includes many key players in extrusion machinery and equipment, as well as extrusion manufacturers. This makes Boston an ideal destination for conference attendees and exhibitors alike. By establishing Extrusion 2025 as a standalone conference, organizers aim to cater more effectively to the distinct needs of the extrusion sector, which differ significantly from those of the molding and moldmaking community.
“Our programming for the 2025 event has been refreshed to reflect the growing need among our audience for programming that helps them solve problems and apply best practices,” notes Jim Callari, editorial director of Plastics Technology and technical director of Extrusion 2025. “Sessions will be organized by module to take the attendee from pellet preparation and conditioning to melt preparation and delivery to die design. We will also have sessions devoted to sustainable processing, troubleshooting, and emerging technologies.”
