StreamGaGa 1288: A Sharper Way to Save Your Favorite Streams 🎬

StreamGaGa, the desktop downloader for Windows and Mac, has just rolled out Version 1288

(PRUnderground) December 10th, 2025

StreamGaGa has pushed out a new update, Version 1288, for its Windows and Mac video downloader, and it’s clearly aimed at people who care about picture quality and stable downloads. The program is designed for users who like to save movies and shows from streaming services and watch them later without worrying about Wi-Fi, regional limits, or expiring licenses. With this update, StreamGaGa adds more 4K options, more HDR formats, and a round of fixes for everyday download issues. 🎬

At the center of this release is 4K HDR support for Disney+. Version 1288 now lets users download Disney+ titles in 4K with HDR10 and Dolby Vision. For anyone who watches on a 4K TV, projector, or high-end monitor, this means sharper frames, brighter highlights, and richer color. StreamGaGa positions this as a “grab it once, enjoy it anytime” solution for Disney+ fans who don’t want to rely on streaming quality each time they hit play. Those who are especially into Disney+ content can check StreamGaGa’s dedicated Disney+ downloader page.

The update also pays attention to users of Fandango at Home. Version 1288 adds support for downloading Fandango at Home videos in 4K HDR10/Dolby Vision and also in H.265 SDR. In practice, that gives two clear choices: maximum quality for a home-cinema feel, or solid quality with smaller file sizes when storage space is limited. StreamGaGa leaves the decision to the user, but makes it possible to keep both premium HDR copies and lighter SDR backups on the same machine.

For Apple TV viewers, Version 1288 brings another step forward. The software now supports downloading Apple TV videos in 4K HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The team notes that 4K downloading for Apple TV is currently in Beta, so users can expect ongoing improvements. There is also a small but important detail: when a user chooses to download Dolby Vision–only video formats from Apple TV, StreamGaGa will always output them as MP4 files. This choice is made to keep playback compatibility high across different players and devices, reducing the chance that a carefully downloaded file refuses to play. 😎

Besides new video formats and platforms, Version 1288 includes several bug fixes aimed at everyday usability. For Tubi, an issue where SRT external subtitles were saved with incorrect file names has been fixed. Subtitles should now line up correctly with their corresponding video files, which is especially helpful for users who store large libraries and rely on neat folders and naming.

The update also addresses problems on Viki, where some users saw errors when the program tried to analyze or download videos. StreamGaGa reports that this issue has been resolved, allowing Viki fans to continue saving dramas and variety shows as before. For people who mainly use StreamGaGa for Asian content, there is also a dedicated Rakuten Viki downloader introduction page.

A few other services are included in this round of fixes. Some FANZA videos that previously failed to download should now complete normally, and issues with certain WOW videos have also been corrected. These changes don’t look flashy in a feature list, but they reduce the small frustrations that can build up over time when downloads break for no clear reason. 👍

With Version 1288, StreamGaGa continues to focus on three simple ideas: higher quality, more supported platforms, and fewer download errors. Users who value offline viewing, collect series and films, or often travel without stable internet will likely find this update worth a try. Instead of asking viewers to trust that streaming quality will hold up every time, StreamGaGa 1288 helps them keep their favorite titles close at hand — in 4K, in HDR, and ready to play whenever they like. 📺💾
