Grand Opening Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set for Wednesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. Friends and Family Soft Opening Scheduled for July 7

Doherty Enterprises, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of a brand-new Wendy’s® restaurant at 40-16 National Street in Corona, Queens. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., when Doherty leadership will be joined by local officials and community VIPs to celebrate the restaurant’s official grand opening.

Prior to the public launch, the new Wendy’s will host a Friends and Family soft opening on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm, giving the team an opportunity to welcome early guests and prepare for the restaurant’s debut in the neighborhood.

The new Wendy’s will serve the brand’s signature menu throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner, including favorites like the Baconator®, Dave’s Single, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the Frosty® dessert. Guests will also be able to enjoy Wendy’s convenient ordering options, including mobile ordering and delivery through the Wendy’s app and participating delivery partners.

“We’re excited to bring a new Wendy’s to Corona and to create another neighborhood gathering place for local families, students, and workers,” said Melvyn Jones, Director of Operations at Doherty Enterprises. “Our team is proud to welcome guests into a space that offers great food, friendly service and the convenience people want every day. We look forward to celebrating this opening with the community on July 8.”

The new restaurant reflects Doherty’s continued investment in communities across the New York metro area and adds to the company’s growing portfolio of neighborhood dining concepts. The Corona location will also create local employment opportunities and provide an affordable, reliable dining option for residents and visitors in the area.
