Barry Diller's People Incorporated is a media enterprise that holds an ownership stake in MGM. According to Morningstar, MGM Resorts is considering the takeover bid for the media business, connecting the entertainment and casino operator with an existing shareholder. Investors appeared to view the report as increasing the likelihood of a takeover premium.
