Peter and Mike have over 60 years of combined experience working in financial services. Together, alongside Private Wealth Advisor Scott Zelniker, they lead The Zelniker Dorfman Carr & Heritage Group at UBS. With offices in New York City, Gainesville and Sarasota, the 14-member team serves generations of successful families, business owners, athletes and entertainers nationwide by providing personalized advice and solutions.

Peter Dorfman began his career in wealth management at Merrill Lynch in 1997. He joined UBS in 2016 and is based in the firm’s New York City office. With a specific focus on the complex, long-term wealth management needs of multigenerational families, Peter evaluates the needs of each client through a disciplined and time-tested discovery process. His goals-based approach is rooted in a deep understanding of his clients’ objectives, rather than industry benchmarks, to select investments and manage risk.

As part of the Zelniker Dorfman Carr & Heritage Group, Peter leads the team’s investment committee and is responsible for the research of equities, fixed income and alternative investments, as well as portfolio construction and analytics. He also holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA^®) designation. Peter has received several industry accolades, including the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list (2020-2025), the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams list (2023-2025) and the NAPA Top DC Advisor Teams list (2021, 2022).

Mike Carr joined UBS with his team in 2015 to open the firm’s Gainesville, Florida office and also served as the Branch Manager. Previously, he spent 18 years at Merrill Lynch where we worked as a Wealth Management Advisor and Branch Manager in Gainesville. He began his career in Sarasota, Florida as a corporate lender with NCNB/Bank of America in 1989.

As part of the Zelniker Dorfman Carr & Heritage Group, Mike focuses on high-net-worth clients with an emphasis on professional athletes and coaches. Mike is an NFL Players Association (NFLPA)* Institutional Player Financial Advisor through UBS. With this program, announced in 2023, select UBS Financial Advisors specializing in serving athlete and entertainer clients, provide holistic financial advice and guidance to current and retired NFL players to help them build their financial futures and create lasting legacies.
