Newegg Launches Memory Trade-In Program
The expansion builds on the success of Newegg’s GPU Trade-In Program launched in 2023 and the CPU Trade-In Program introduced in 2024, further enhancing Newegg’s ecosystem for upgrading core PC components.

With the addition of memory, customers can now trade in another essential PC component and apply the value toward newer hardware. As system requirements continue to increase for gaming, content creation and professional workloads, upgrading memory capacity and speed is a growing priority for PC users for its ability to provide meaningful performance improvements.
The program is designed to provide a simple and convenient alternative to selling used hardware through secondary marketplaces. Customers can receive an upfront trade-in offer while purchasing their new hardware, then ship their existing component afterward, ensuring they are never without a working system during the upgrade process.
The expansion also comes at a time when many PC components have experienced rising costs due to macroeconomic pressures and supply dynamics. Newegg’s Trade-In Program aims to help customers offset upgrade costs by turning existing hardware into purchasing power for new technology.
“At Newegg, we’re always looking for ways to make upgrading PC hardware easier and more accessible,” said Andrew Choi, Head of Growth Programs at Newegg. “This is especially important in a challenging macro environment where hardware costs have increased. By leveraging our broad catalog of memory products, we’re giving customers a practical way to reduce upgrade costs while still achieving the performance they expect from their systems.”
