Nuvera Fuel Cells Partners with Hytech Engineering & Services AS for Zero-Emission Machinery

By: via AccessWire

BILLERICA, MA / ACCESSWIRE / April 5, 2022 / Nuvera Fuel Cells, LLC, a provider of fuel cell power solutions for industrial applications, has received a purchase order and signed a memorandum of understanding with Hytech AS. The engineering and services firm based in Klepp Stasjon, Norway will evaluate the use of Nuvera® E-45 Fuel Cell Engines for stationary power uses. Hytech is also exploring the development of hydrogen powered hydraulic pumps and auxiliary power units using Nuvera's fuel cell solutions. Hytech's mission is to provide its customers a competitive edge by offering cutting-edge technology solutions.

"We are excited to work with Hytech," said Lucien Robroek, CEO of Nuvera. "Norway has been a leader in fuel cell innovation and adoption for decades. With our team based in Milan, Italy and remote support from our U.S. headquarters, Nuvera is poised to serve customers in Europe with fuel cell engines to expand the deployment of high-performance zero-emission vehicles."

With high resistance to shock and vibration, Nuvera's metallic fuel cell stack technology is well suited to on- and off-road vehicles, as well as to many stationary applications. Packaged with controls and balance-of-plant components that provide the proper operating conditions for the fuel cell stack under widely varying duty cycles, Nuvera fuel cell engines can greatly accelerate time to market for manufacturers introducing electrified powertrains to their product lines.
