Make Space Storage Opens New Self-Storage Facility Near Victoria International Airport

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / October 8, 2025 / Make Space Storage is proud to announce the official opening of its brand-new storage facility in North Saanich, located at 1921 Mills Road near the Victoria International Airport. The new site is now open, offering residents and businesses across Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula modern, secure, and convenient storage solutions.

The 2.5-acre facility features 185 indoor and drive-up storage units in a variety of sizes. Proudly built by Make Space, the facility integrates seamlessly with the surrounding community and represents a significant investment in the region.

With its prime location minutes from the airport and Swartz Bay ferry terminal, the site serves as a gateway hub for both residents and businesses moving goods or traveling across Vancouver Island. Customers benefit from online reservations and move-ins, extended access hours, and security measures including 24/7 video surveillance, gated entry, and perimeter fencing.

"We're thrilled to open our doors in the Victoria area," said Danny Freedman, CEO of Make Space Storage. "From our beginnings in Pender Harbour, BC, to our expansion across western Canada, this facility is an important step in our growth and an investment in the future of this community."

This opening also marks the next step for Van Isle Containers, which will now operate under the Make Space Storage name. Customers can expect the same trusted service, with expanded options and the backing of Make Space's growing network of 50+ facilities across Canada.

"Relocating Van Isle Containers to this new site allows us to serve customers better than ever," added Adam Nadiger, General Manager. "With expanded storage options and the support of the Make Space network, we're well positioned to meet the needs of Vancouver Island."

To celebrate, Make Space Storage will host a family-friendly Halloween-themed grand opening event on Saturday, October 25th, featuring a trick-or-treat adventure, face-painting, festive treats, prizes, tours of the new facility, and lunch from the food truck, on us. Community members are invited to stop by, meet the team, and explore everything our new facility has to offer.

Units are now available to rent, and customers can move in right away, including a quick and easy online move-in option for a seamless start. To learn more about the new facility and rent or reserve a storage unit, visit https://makespacestorage.ca.
