Cintas Earns Place on Forbes’ List of Best Employers for Diversity 2021

Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) has been named to Forbes magazine’s “America’s Best Employers for Diversity 2021” list. In collaboration with analytics firm Statista, Forbes identified The Best Employers for Diversity through an independent survey of over 50,000 employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Forbes for our commitment to diversity and fostering an inclusive culture,” said Max Langenkamp, Cintas Corporation Chief Diversity Officer & Vice President of Human Resources. “We recognize the value in diverse experiences and perspectives, which is why we strive to create a workplace where all employee-partners feel welcome, valued, heard and empowered. Our diversity and inclusion strategy isn’t limited to ethnicity, nationality, gender or age — it’s also focused on recruiting military veterans and employees with differing abilities.”

Cintas offers a robust Management Trainee program, which also recruits trainees from traditionally under-represented groups to help enrich its leadership pipeline with the best talent available. Cintas partners with a supplier network that includes minority-owned, women-owned and certified small businesses to bolster economic inclusion and increase innovation, and help the company better serve its diverse customer base. Further, Cintas partnered with ViaQuest to further its commitment to hiring individuals with disabilities.

This Forbes honor is one of many recent recognitions Cintas has earned that underscores the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, including:

  • 2020 Disability Equality Index® (DEI) “Best Places to Work” top scorer
  • Ohio Diversity Council - Top 15 Most Diverse Fortune 1000 Companies
  • 2021 Military Friendly® and Military Spouse Friendly® Employer Designations
  • Diversity Plus magazine included Cintas in their Top 30 Champions of Diversity ranking
  • Listed among GI Jobs’ Top Military-Friendly Employers every year since 2005
  • Autism Speaks Influencer Award
  • Forbes Best Employers for New Graduates
  • FORTUNE’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” for 13 years

Respondents who took the Forbes survey were posed questions on age, gender equality, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQA+ and general diversity about their own employer. When compiling the list, the diversity of corporations’ boards and executive ranks were considered, as were diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and recent allegations or unresolved lawsuits related to workplace diversity.
