Prove Identity Appoints Mitch Bompey as Chief Legal Officer

Prove Identity, Inc. (“Prove”), the global leader in digital identity, announced today the appointment of Mitch Bompey as Chief Legal Officer. Bompey, who recently served as General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer at Addepar, a fintech data platform, brings over 25 years of legal expertise in technology licensing, data management, privacy, and security to Prove. Prior to his six-year tenure at Addepar, Bompey served as Managing Director, Head of Technology, Data Protection & Sourcing Legal at Morgan Stanley.

"We are thrilled to have Mitch join the Prove team," said Rodger Desai, Prove’s Chief Executive Officer. "His expertise in legal matters, data sectors, privacy, and security will be invaluable as Prove continues to grow rapidly and expand our product offerings across the globe.”

During his time at Addepar, Bompey oversaw all legal functions and managed the risk and information security groups. He collaborated closely with the leadership team to establish broker-dealer and investment advisor entities, growing the company’s international presence and securing contracts with major enterprises in the wealth management industry.

Mitch's tenure at Morgan Stanley, which concluded in 2017, saw him serving as the global head of the Technology, Data Protection, and Sourcing legal team. In this capacity, he provided support for all technology-related matters, intellectual property issues, data-related concerns, regulatory developments, and engagements with third-party entities on a global scale.

Mitch embarked on his legal career at esteemed New York law firms, including Fish & Neave and Weil Gotshal, following his graduation from the University of Virginia School of Law.

"I am excited to be joining Prove and build on their mission to be the global standard for fast, secure, and privacy-first digital identity that accelerates revenue while also mitigating fraud,” said Bompey. “The leadership at Prove is committed to producing products and solutions that address key business needs for our customers and I am thrilled to be joining at this stage to support the unlocking of these growth opportunities."
