Qualtrics Opens New State-of-the-Art Office in Reston, VA

Qualtrics strengthens presence in the Washington Metro area with new, expanded office focused on AI innovation & public sector growth

Qualtrics, the leader and creator of the experience management (XM) category, today announced it has opened a new expanded office in Reston, Va., which will serve as a hub for AI innovation and public sector growth. The investment in the Washington metro area comes as businesses and governments increasingly partner with Qualtrics to improve the experiences they deliver for employees, customers and residents. The new office is located at Reston Station about 20 miles from Washington in Northern Virginia.

"Our expansion in Reston marks a significant milestone in Qualtrics’ growth and commitment to innovation, particularly artificial intelligence and machine learning," said Zig Serafin, CEO, Qualtrics. "Strategically positioned in one of the US's key tech corridors, our new Reston office will enable us to harness top local talent, as we continue to elevate critical experiences in the public sector and beyond.”

“The opening of Qualtrics’ world-class East Coast office reinforces that Virginia’s tech sector is booming,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin. “This new hub in Reston Station will allow Qualtrics to continue to capitalize on the Commonwealth’s pipeline of top talent.”

The Reston office expands the company’s presence in the region following its 2021 acquisition of Reston-based Clarabridge, the leader in omnichannel conversational analytics.

Qualtrics to leverage top local talent to continue improving government experiences

Building on access to some of the highest concentration of tech talent in the United States, the Reston office will serve as a center of excellence for product innovation, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. This strategic new location places Qualtrics at the heart of one of the nation's established tech corridors, enabling it to better serve the needs of leading technology, defense, and service companies present in the region.

Qualtrics® is already used by more than 600 state, provincial and local government organizations and more than 170 federal offices to harness the power of resident and employee sentiment to design and deliver policies, programs and services the public needs most. With its expanded office located near the nation's capital, Qualtrics aims to help more government customers design experiences that build public trust and foster community engagement by putting people at the center of every government experience.

Qualtrics to propel AI leadership from new Reston hub amid top tech neighbors

Qualtrics will occupy 52,266 square feet across two full floors in the newly developed Reston Station complex which comprises residential buildings, office buildings, hotels, restaurants, and retail spaces. Reston Station, which is among the largest mixed-use, transit-oriented developments in the mid-Atlantic region, is a growing technology hub that hosts national or regional headquarters for Google, Spotify, Rolls-Royce of America, and more.

The team in Reston will play a critical role in Qualtrics’ continued leadership in AI and machine learning. The new office will house roles across all departments, including sales, professional services, engineering, operations, customer success and marketing, reflecting Qualtrics’ commitment to growth and investment in the region.

The office layout is themed around the Capital Beltway, with walking paths around each floor designed to mimic the circumferential highway that encircles the area, as well as the Blues Café, a 40-seat work area inspired by Washington's historic jazz scene. The next generation workplace is outfitted with a variety of work points to support a flexible and agile work culture, demonstrating the company’s focus on creating modern, collaborative workspaces that nurture innovation and creativity. Employees can also enjoy a private outdoor terrace & picnic area, a game room, and a wellness center.
