Cagle brings more than 26 years of EH&S experience in a variety of manufacturing roles, spanning multiple business segments and geographies. In her new position at Divert, Cagle will work across all departments to deploy strategies that maximize engagement, impact, and further strengthen the company’s culture of safety, engagement, and accountability.

“In our 17 year history, environment, health and safety has always been the highest priority for Divert,” said Ryan Begin, CEO and co-founder, Divert. “As the company scales to 30 Integrated Diversion & Energy Facilities by 2031, we are reaffirming our focus and commitment to EH&S. Dana brings a wealth of EH&S experience and stands out as an inspirational people leader grounded in operations. In this next stage of growth for the company, she will play an important role in continuing to solidify our culture of safety.”

Divert is seeing growing demand for its end-to-end solution to the wasted food crisis, including data-driven wasted food prevention, food recovery, and infrastructure that transforms wasted food into a beneficial byproduct - renewable energy. In the past year, the company has expanded its customer base by approximately 34%, now working with more than 7,200 customer locations across food retail, food service, and industrials. With 30 wasted food to renewable energy facilities in the pipeline to meet this demand, EH&S will continue to serve as the core foundation of Divert’s operations.

“I am thrilled to join Divert with an incredible mission and passionate people rallying behind it,” said Cagle. “There is a palpable sense of purpose and teamwork at the company, and I’m eager to help continue to grow engagement and culture. Together, we can achieve zero incidents, keeping our people and the community safe every day.”

Most recently, Cagle served as the senior director of global EHS&S for Olin Corporation. In this role, Cagle was responsible for the development and execution of the strategic plan for the Global EHS&S Program, encompassing 7,000 employees across three businesses. Previously, Cagle spent more than 20 years with Dow Chemical, one of the world's top three largest chemical producers. Cagle held multiple roles at Dow Chemical, including as the plant manager and production leader for several of the company’s chemical manufacturing arms, leading the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of those facilities.

Cagle has a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
