For the second year, SDS earns recognition for its gunshot detection solutions

The company’s Indoor Gunshot Detection System won at the Platinum level under the Fire/Life Safety category. This marks the second year in a row that Shooter Detection Systems has been recognized with an award from the program.

Shooter Detection Systems’ Indoor Gunshot Detection System offers a fast, accurate and cost-effective tool to notify building occupants and first responders that gun violence is happening onsite. SDS’s indoor gunshot detection sensors use dual sensor technology to identify both the acoustic sound of a gunshot and the infrared flash detection, or heat signature, emitted from the discharge of a firearm.

When shots are detected, trained safety agents contact 911 call centers and provide real-time data via ResponderLink emergency response services. This information includes the building’s address and where shots have been detected within the building to help improve situational awareness for responding officers.
