Advanced Energy Launches Compact Fiber Optic Thermometry Converter for Advanced Etch and Deposition at SEMICON® West 2025

Enhanced accuracy and broader temperature measurement range enable higher quality and yield

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS), a global leader in highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions, will preview its next-generation fiber optic thermometry (FOT) converter, the M-1200, at SEMICON® West 2025.

“For semiconductor OEMs, space and reliability are critical. The M-1200’s compact design and ability to withstand harsh environments provide repeatable performance that supports consistent manufacturing quality and yield,” said Dhaval Dhayatkar, Advanced Energy’s vice president, Critical Sensing and Control, System Power.

Smaller, more accurate, and with a broader temperature measurement range than most contact temperature sensing devices, the M-1200 opens process development possibilities for Angstrom-Era innovation. With ultra-fast EtherCAT communication, flexible probe configurations, and a compact form factor, it streamlines integration into complex semiconductor tools. Its -200 to 450°C measurement range widens application coverage, while proprietary phosphor formulations optimize probes for specific temperature ranges.
