Hayden AI Appoints Marty Beard CEO and Board Member

Beard brings extensive AI and enterprise experience in scaling and operating technology companies

Hayden AI, a leader in vision AI and edge solutions for cities, today announced the appointment of Marty Beard as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He is based at the company’s San Francisco headquarters.

Beard’s experience in leading and scaling enterprise technology companies uniquely qualifies him to maximize the potential of Hayden AI’s patented vision AI and edge processing platform. Most recently, he served as Co-Founder and CEO of alwaysAI, a computer vision platform bringing deep learning to edge devices for real-time applications. Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer at BlackBerry, where he helped lead the company’s strategic shift from hardware to security software. His career also includes executive leadership roles at LiveOps (CEO), Sybase (President of Sybase 365), and Oracle (Vice President, Oracle Online).

“Marty brings the right combination of operational expertise, strategic clarity, and deep technology experience to lead Hayden AI into its next chapter,” said Lisa Schule, Chair of the Board at Hayden AI. “We conducted a thorough search to find the right person to lead the company forward, and I’m confident that Marty’s leadership will help Hayden AI build on its strong foundation and scale with focus and impact.”

“AI is transforming public safety, and we’re excited to support Hayden AI as they lead that shift — now with Marty driving the next chapter of growth," said Steve Ellis, a Managing Partner of TPG’s The Rise Fund.

“I’m honored to join Hayden AI at such an exciting time in the company’s growth,” said Beard. “Hayden AI is already making a major difference in cities across the country – improving transportation safety and efficiency through its impressive vision AI platform and strong customer partnerships. I look forward to working with the team to accelerate growth and expand the reach of our technology.”

Hayden AI’s technology helps cities and transportation agencies across the globe enforce dedicated transit and bike zones. The company’s automated camera enforcement platform is currently deployed by major cities in the United States and Europe to keep bus lanes, bike lanes, and bus stops clear of obstructions, leading to safer, faster, and more reliable public transportation and roadways.

About Hayden AI: At Hayden AI, we’re pioneering real world problem solving powered by AI. Cities use our mobile perception system to speed up transit and make streets safer. For more information, visit www.hayden.ai.
