Lectec to launch Lectec LS, The Electric Skateboard that Teaches Engineering

New York, New York, United States - 11-29-2022 (PR Distribution™) -

This STEM-inspired kit for kids includes everything they need to build, learn, and ride

Lectec, a startup in the children’s education industry, is launching its first product: Lectec LS. This interactive kit is designed to teach engineering principles and includes everything kids need to learn, build, and ride their very own electric skateboard!

Designed for children ages 7 to 12, Lectec LS is easy to assemble because it includes all the parts, tools, and educational materials necessary to put it all together. Kids also get a hands-on experience using all of the included tools.

Children can tweak and upgrade their skateboard since Lectec doesn’t lock them into specific parts. They are free to swap out wheels, pulleys, and belts as they wish. Kids get to build something, learn by doing, and ride what they built with their own hands!

Depending on the age and comfort level of the child, they may want to use the detachable scooter handle. This gives them the option to gain experience riding before going skateboard-style. They get outside, learn about balance, and stay safe—of course.

Lectec LS has built-in safety features to keep parents’ minds at ease. It has four different speed modes—4 mph, 8 mph, 12 mph, and 15 mph—so kids can start slow as they learn. It also has four acceleration modes—25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%—to gradually ease kids into learning how to ride.

The LED lights that surround the enclosure respond to the throttle and brake, helping others see kids as they ride. They won’t lose control, either, thanks to the controller’s channel-hopping technology that guarantees they always get a strong signal.

Lectec LS is available on Indiegogo today at a Super Early Bird price of $279, which is 50% off the retail price of $559.
