SPUD CUSTOMS LAUNCHES: Papers, Please meets Potato Mayhem

Lost Rabbit Digital today releases Spud Customs on Steam, a genre-blending game that combines document inspection gameplay with arcade action.

(PRUnderground) December 6th, 2024

Lost Rabbit Digital today announced the release of Spud Customs, an innovative genre-blending game that combines document inspection with fast-paced arcade gameplay. Set in the bureaucratic world of potato immigration, players serve as border officers making split-second decisions that determine the fate of desperate spuds seeking sanctuary.

“Spud Customs emerged from our desire to create something truly unique in the gaming space,” says Boden McHale, lead developer at Lost Rabbit Digital. “We wanted to combine the tension of document inspection with the excitement of arcade action, all wrapped in a darkly humorous narrative about potatoes.”

Key Features:

  • Unique gameplay combining document inspection and arcade elements
  • Rich narrative with multiple branching paths and endings
  • Quick 5-15 minute gameplay sessions perfect for any schedule
  • Extensive customization options for difficulty and accessibility
  • Endless mode for arcade-style challenge and high scores

The game’s story follows a newly appointed border officer in the nation of Spud, where players must navigate complex immigration rules while managing unexpected challenges from denied applicants. Each shift brings new challenges, moral dilemmas, and dark revelations about the true nature of potato politics.

Spud Customs is available now on Steam for $4.99. A free demo featuring endless mode is also available for players who want to test their skills before buying.
