Thompson Center for Dentistry, a comprehensive dental practice in Chula Vista led by Dr. Uyen Thompson, has been named Best General Dentist Office in the annual San Diego’s Best Union-Tribune Readers Poll for the second consecutive year. 

Chula Vista, CA – Thompson Center for Dentistry has been chosen as San Diego’s Best General Dentist Office of 2022 by readers of the San Diego Union-Tribune. The practice’s director, Chula Vista dentist Uyen Thompson, DDS, says the honor is particularly meaningful given that this is the second year in a row that she and her team have been awarded the distinction. 

The annual San Diego’s Best Union-Tribune Readers Poll is a survey designed to recognize the “best” of the community in a range of categories, including Healthy Living, Entertainment, Food & Restaurant, Shopping & Services, and others. This is the 26th year for the Readers’ Poll, and the Best General Dentist Office distinction is part of the Healthy Living category. Readers are first invited to nominate those whom they believe to represent the best in the area, and the businesses and services with the greatest number of nominations are then selected for the voting phase. The poll remains open for about one month, followed by the announcement of the winners once the votes have been tabulated. The winners are then published and readers throughout the county can see who made the list.

Dr. Uyen Thompson is the Director of Thompson Center for Dentistry. In addition to holding a Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Thompson is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is a member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners, the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the San Diego Dental Society, and other dental organizations. Dr. Thompson earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, followed by her DDS degree from the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and a Master of Oral Implantology from the California Implant Institute.
