About Ms. Davidson
Ms. Davidson unknowingly started on her career path as a teenager working for a lawyer who would later become a civil court judge. She wanted to choose a career that would make her son proud, after having struggled as a single mother. When she reflected on her past, she recognized that the time spent working at the law office had a significant impact on her and played a major role in her decision to pursue a career in law.
Ms. Davidson earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, a Master of Business Administration in marketing and a Master of Business Administration in communication and media studies from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business. She earned a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University's Maurice A. Deane School of Law. She has additionally obtained a diversity, equity and inclusion certificate from Cornell University.
After graduation, Ms. Davidson worked as an attorney in multiple law offices. At Travelers, she served as counsel and was given the award for quality and representation. She joined Chartwell Law in 2022 and became a partner in 2024. In her role at Chartwell Law, in addition to handling her caseload, she brings new clients to the firm and supervises the associates and administrative staff.
A Commitment to Mentoring
Ms. Davidson considers mentoring younger attorneys and supporting their promotions as one of the major achievements of her career. As part of her personal mission to help other attorneys, she actively recruits women and women of color due to her belief in greater diverse representation. This goal is not just about diversity, equity and inclusion, but also ensuring the most qualified person is hired for the position.
"What makes me a leader is my willingness to give my time, share my knowledge and experience and put other people before myself. I understand what it's like to be a young associate and I am always willing to do whatever I can to push them forward," Ms. Davidson says.
Advocating for Others
Ms. Davidson is not afraid to speak up. This characteristic fearlessness has played a major role in her success, while her years of experience in practicing law and expertise in New York workers' compensation law have made her a powerful advocate for her clients' interests.
"There is an increase in the cases involving depression, anxiety, PTSD, and the like. We're seeing a lot of that, which prolongs the life of a claim, and New York is expanding coverage for workers' compensation claims for mental health injuries," Ms. Davidson says.
When not working on behalf of her clients, Ms. Davidson volunteers her time doing community service work. She also travels extensively and enjoys quality time spent with her family.
"I have been blessed to be in the position I am in. I am one of those people who thank God every day that I even have a job. Be tenacious. Never give up," Ms. Davidson says.
