Event to Bring Together Business and Government Leaders to Address Emerging Threats and Strengthen State's Security Ecosystem

PHOENIX - May 18, 2026 - PRLog -- The Arizona Technology Council, in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority and Arizona Cyber Threat Response Alliance (ACTRA), will host the 13th Annual Cybersecurity Summit, bringing together business leaders, government officials, cybersecurity professionals and technology experts to address the evolving threat landscape and explore strategies for protecting organizations, infrastructure and communities.

The event will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Grand Canyon University, 2600 W. Camelback Road, Building 71, Phoenix.

"Cyber threats continue to evolve in complexity and speed, making collaboration and information-sharing more important than ever," said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Council and SciTech Institute. "Arizona's growing innovation economy depends on strong cybersecurity practices and resilient digital infrastructure. This summit brings together leaders from across sectors to discuss today's challenges and help organizations prepare for tomorrow's threats."

The Cybersecurity Summit provides a forum for government and business to better understand the threats, vulnerabilities and consequences associated with data security and privacy. The event also highlights practical solutions and resources available to organizations seeking to strengthen cybersecurity readiness and resilience.

Attendees will hear from industry experts, including opening keynote Jason Lish, global chief information security officer of Cisco, and closing keynote Apollo Hernandez, field chief information security officer of Splunk. Presentations, discussions and networking opportunities will focus on topics including:
  • Emerging cybersecurity threats and risk management strategies
  • Data privacy and protection best practices
  • Cyber resilience and incident response preparedness
  • Security challenges related to AI and emerging technologies
  • Public-private collaboration and threat intelligence sharing
