Durham police are investigating a fatal shooting incident on Dayton Street that left a teenager dead and one man injured.

THIS HAPPENED JUST AFTER 8.30, LAST NIGHT ON DAYTON STREET AND DURHAM'S MCDOUGAL TERRACE. POLICE SAY WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THEY FOUND 2 PEOPLE WHO HAD BEEN SHOT. THEY WERE RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. A JUVENILE DIED FROM HIS INJURIES IN THE ADULT VICTIM IS EXPECTED TO RECOVER. WE SPOKE WITH A MAN WHO LIVES IN THIS AREA AND HEARD THE SHOTS RING OUT. HE TELLS US SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS VIOLENCE. >> ALL OF US AND WE'RE ON A 30 SHOTS RANG OUT BY 5 OR 6, 7, SHOTS RANG OUT.
