Temperatures and humidity levels creep up slightly this weekend, but it will still be comfortable. 



Comfortably warm afternoons continue for first weekend of October

<p>Meteorologist Grant Skinner here in the weather center will stay dry for now with high pressure in place, some high clouds moving into our Sunday. A slight warming trend with highs reaching the low 80s over the next few days, then our next front arrives, it'll bring a better chance for showers and maybe some brief storms. For our area. We'll time it out here in a second. Our forecast lows overnight will be slightly warmer, around 50 degrees to the north, mid to upper 50s towards the triangle, and the sand hills, and the low 60s for some spots. Fayetteville at 61, Goldsboro at 60 degrees to start the day on Sunday. Then we'll see gorgeous weather for your Sunday with those high clouds moving in, highs warmer at around 80 degrees, 81 by the afternoon in Raleigh, then In the evening hours, dropping to the low to mid 70s in the upper 60s by 9 p.m. and we'll drop back to the low to mid-60s into our Monday morning. So, warmer over the next few days, highs sitting in the low 80s, 81 Sunday, 82 Monday and Tuesday, at around 80 still on Wednesday, but then you see that cool down to Thursday. That's with the next front passing through the area. That front's gonna bring a better chance for showers and storms. Uh, the cold front arrives Wednesday. Once it passes, more fall air will arrive to end the week, so temperatures will drop back to the 70s across our area, and the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we'll have some brief showers possible Saturday with another weak front that moves through, but overall. Chances aren't gonna be overwhelming in next weekend, and we'll just see some drier air behind that front. But for now, we'll have to deal with a warming trend, low to mid 80s, so not overly warm, just warmer than we've seen over the past few days. Overnight lows warming to the mid to upper 60s, and a Tuesday and Wednesday morning, and then by the time we hit Wednesday and a Thursday, that front passes, a better chance for showers and brief storms, and then cooler and drier air to end the week.</p>
