A 16-year-old was arrested after sending a woman to the hospital with life threatening injuries in Wake Forest for a shooting that was intended for someone else, according to police.

SHE IS THE WIFE OF COACH REGGIE LUCAS. THIS HAPPENED ON NELSON AVENUE JUST AFTER 6 YESTERDAY EVENING. AUTHORITIES SAY THE SUSPECT IS NOT A STUDENT AT WAKE FOREST HIGH SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL HAD A FOOTBALL GAME AT LEESVILLE HIGH THAT STARTED AROUND 07:00PM.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a report related to indecent liberties involving a minor. Deputies said during the course of the investigation, they learned that Mark Alan Kuhns, 57, of Pikeville, had sexually abused multiple children "over a twenty-plus-year span."
