LISBETH MAIGRET DAY HEARD A GUNSHOT AND THEN SAW HER 5 YEAR-OLD HUSKY MAXEY ON THE GRASS. I JUST REMEMBER RUNNING UP TO HIM, HUGGING HIM LIKE I CRIED. IT WAS JUST SO BY RALEIGH. POLICE SAY THEY WENT TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR A STOLEN CAR INVESTIGATION. THEY SAY AN AGGRESSIVE DOG CHARGED AT THE OFFICER. THEN THE OFFICER SHOT AND KILLED HIM. HE WAS JUST JUST A NICE THOUGHT. WE THOUGHT COULD NEVER HURT ANYBODY. FAMILY SAYS THEY TRAINED THE DOG TO PLAY IN THE YARD. OFF-LEASH. IT'S A HEAVY CHRISTMAS FOR THIS FAMILY. THEY WANT TO KNOW WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED THE EVENING BEFORE. WHY DID HE JUST HEY, SIR? >> PEPPER SPRAYED WHAT HE HAD TO SHOW HIM RIGHT IN THE HEAD.
