A tornado touched down in Wilson County early Thursday morning, damaging 10 homes in the area and a middle school. One person was killed.

THIS IS THAT WE'RE AT THE SCENE OF THE HOME THAT TOTALLY COLLAPSED. I DID JUST SPEAK TO ONE OF THE REPRESENTATIVES HERE FROM FEMA AND HE SAID ALL THE HOMES IN THE AREA HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND CLEARED EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE. A LITTLE BIT OF A SOMBER TONE HERE. HOPEFULLY. WHOEVER MAY HAVE BEEN INSIDE IS OKAY. WE DID SPEAK TO A NEIGHBOR A SHORT TIME AGO THAT CAME OVER HERE CONCERNED BECAUSE IT'S A MAN IN HIS 60'S. IT LIVES IN THIS HOME AND HE SAID HIS TRUCK IS HERE. YOU COULD SEE ON HIS FACE THAT HE WAS VERY CONCERNED AND WORRIED. SO WE'RE HOPING THAT THEM AND IT WAS THAT LIVES IN THIS HOME WAS ABLE TO GET OUT. BUT REPRESENTATIVE FROM FEMA SAID THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GO INTO THE BOTTOM PART OF THIS. HE SAID EARLIER THIS MORNING THEY WERE ABLE TO GO INTO THE SECOND STORY, WHICH IS NOW THE FIRST STORY BASICALLY AND THEY CLEARED AT. BUT IT WAS THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO GO INTO THE FIRST LEVEL OF THE HOME, WHICH IS COMPLETELY COVERED AND RUBBLE AT THIS POINT. I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS WILLING TO TALK. HE SAID HE WANTS TO WAIT TO GET SOME MORE INFORMATION. HE SAID THAT THE THE CHIEF. POLICE WILL BE HERE SOON AND THEY'RE GOING TO TRY AND DO A SEARCH OF WHAT IS LEFT OF THIS FIRST LEVEL. I WAS WALKING AROUND JUST TO KIND OF SEE WHAT I COULD FIND. AND YOU JUST SEE THINGS THAT NORMALLY SHOULD BE INSIDE OF A HOME SPREAD ALL OVER THE PLACE. THERE'S SEASONING TO SEASON YOUR FOOD. THERE'S PILLOWS. THERE'S ALL KINDS OF THINGS JUST ROUNDABOUT. SO. A BIT OF A SOMBER TONE HERE, BUT WE'RE HOPING HOPING, HOPING, HOPING THAT THE PERSON THAT LIVES HERE IS OK, BUT WE JUST DON'T KNOW.
