SO WHAT WE KNOW IS A MAN FROM NEW MEXICO DROVE THOUSANDS OF MILES ACROSS THE COUNTRY RIGHT HERE TO RALEIGH TO FIND A WOMAN WHO HE MET ONLINE IN A NEW LAWSUIT JUST FILED HERE IN THIS WEEKEND, THE WAKE COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER ALLEGES HE FIGURED OUT WHERE TO FIND HER AFTER SHE BLOCKED HER NUMBER AND CHANGED IT BECAUSE VERIZON RELEASED ALL OF HER CELL PHONE RECORDS AND DATA TO HIM. WHY? BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THEY THOUGHT RATHER HE WAS A POLICE DETECTIVE. >> THEY MET ON THIS DATING WEBSITE LAST FALL. SHE MET HIM ONLINE AND IT QUICKLY SOURED THIS MAN, ROBERT GLENN ARE FROM NEW MEXICO, THEN BECAME OBSESSED WITH A RALEIGH WOMAN. ACCORDING TO HER ATTORNEY AMANDA DOOR. AND THE FBI ARE THEY SAY HE BEGAN TO STALK HER. SHE BLOCKED HIM. >> AND WHEN THE BLOCKING DIDN'T WORK, SHE CONTACTED THE POLICE. SHE THEN WENT TO VERIZON TO CHANGE HER PHONE NUMBER. GET ABOUT 10 DAYS OF PEACE. THEN GLENN OR GOT CREATIVE, POSING AS A CAREY POLICE OFFICER NAMED DETECTIVE STEPHEN COOPER ASKING FOR ALL OF HER CALL RECORDS AND DATA THIS CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FILED BY THE FBI STATES. HE WROTE ON A FAKE SEARCH WARRANT. WE ARE IN NEED OF THIS PHONE DATA AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO APPREHEND THE SUSPECT. >> EVEN STATING SHE WAS A SUSPECT IN A HOMICIDE AND MAY FLEE TO PUERTO RICO. HE WAS GIVEN HER ADDRESS. HE WAS GIVEN CONTACTS. THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINT STATES. CONNOR DROVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY FROM NEW MEXICO TO RALLY WHERE HE TEXTED THE WOMAN STATING I AM GOING TO GET A RIFLE AND AMMO. IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU, NO ONE CAN. IT WAS A HARASSMENT CAMPAIGN THAT WAS ONLY MADE POSSIBLE BY THE RELEASE OF THAT INFORMATION. BROADER MADE IT TO THE VICTIM'S HOME. SHE CALLED POLICE AND HE WAS ARRESTED. HE HAD A KNIFE AND A ROPE WITH HIM. >> NOW, AS YOU MENTIONED, WATER HAS PREVIOUS TALKING CHARGES OUT OF CALIFORNIA. NOW THE ATTORNEY AND HER VICTIM HAVE FILED A CIVIL LAWSUIT IN THIS CASE AGAINST VERIZON. SEEKING MORE THAN $75,000 IN DAMAGES.
