<p>Hello, everyone. I'm meteorologist Mike Mays in the WRL Severe Weather Center with a forecast update for this Wednesday night. We do have a weather alert day for the day tomorrow due to the rainfall that could be widespread in the morning, slowing you down for your morning commute. A 50/50 chance at 6 a.m. By 8 a.m., it's up to 60, and by 100 a.m., about a 90% chance for showers. I think in the morning, it'll mostly be showers, but later in the afternoon we could see some thunderstorms, and some of the rain could be heavy. Here's an hour by hour look at rainfall probabilities. After looking at new model data this evening, I've adjusted the numbers just a little bit. 90% chance for rain, 10 and 11, 100% chance for lunchtime at 1 o'clock. That might be the period that sees the most widespread heavy showers and some storms. For the afternoon commute, there will still be a few showers and storms around and still spotty showers and storms 6789, 1011 o'clock tomorrow night. Now, we do run the risk for some flooding. For most of us locally, it is a low-end risk where you see the greens, so there could be Flood advisories if the rain is heavy enough. The ground has been pretty much saturated. We've had 3 days off from rain, so to speak, but the rain's coming back in between tomorrow and into the next Tuesday. Every day actually features a chance for showers and storms. So the greatest threat for flooding would be in the yellow zone, which includes parts of Pitt County, Green Lenoir Counties, parts of Duplin County and down east toward Cape Lookout, and even Okracoke, where there's a medium risk for some flooding. So our forecast, some light rain moves in overnight. Uh, lows will be in the mid-60s to about 70, 68 in Raleigh 70 in Fayetteville. And then tomorrow, we'll call for rain being likely, there could be some storms in there as well. And with an overcast sky and the rain, we expect our highs to be reduced. We had 87 today out at RDU. We expect 75 in Raleigh tomorrow, 78 Fayetteville, 75 in South Hill, and for the foreseeable future, there are rain chances each day. Now, by Saturday, there could be a severe threat, so make sure you tune into Elizabeth first thing in the morning. She'll let you know more about that. That's our forecast update.
