A husband and wife were killed and their son is in critical condition after a driver ran a red light at a Garner intersection Monday afternoon.

IT'S JUST ABOUT 2 AND A HALF MILES FROM THE SCENE OF THAT CRASH. BUT THEY ARE TONIGHT GETTING A LOT OF SUPPORT FROM THE COMMUNITY. THAT LITTLE BOY YOU SHOWED THERE, MILES, CAMPBELL, 8 YEARS OLD. HE PLAYED BASEBALL HERE AT LIONS FIELD WITH GARNER BASEBALL INCORPORATED TONIGHT. THEY WILL BE HOLDING A VIGIL HERE AS THE COMMUNITY PRAYS FOR HIM. THEY WILL ALSO PLAY FOR MILES HERE TONIGHT. >> SMILES STRETCH FROM EAR TO EAR IN PHOTOS OF THE CAMPBELL FAMILY. YOU CAN SEE THE CRUMPLED DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAMPBELLS SUV. BOTH PARENTS DIED FROM THE CRASH. TYLER WAS 28 YEARS OLD AND WORKED FOR A SOFTWARE COMPANY. HIS SISTER TELLS ME HE WAS A MARATHON RUNNER AND EAGLE SCOUT HIS SON IS FOLLOWING IN HIS FOOTSTEPS AS A CUB SCOUT. SUZY, A NURSE WAS 29. THE CAMPBELLS WERE BOTH NC STATE GRADS RELATIVE SHARED THIS PHOTO OF THE COUPLE CHEERING ON THE WOLF PACK. THEY DESCRIBED THEM AS ADVENTURERS WHO LOVED TO TRAVEL IN A STATEMENT TO WRAL, FAMILY MEMBERS SAY MILES IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AND THEY'RE TELLING US THAT HIS CHANCES OF SURVIVAL ARE SLIM, BUT WE'RE STILL PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE. THEIR REQUEST RIGHT NOW. JUST MAKE SURE PEOPLE KNOW HOW LOVED THEY WERE BY ALL OF THEIR FAMILY. >> YEAH, HIS GRANDFATHER AT THE HOUSE WAS A OF IN TEARS WHEN I WAS TALKING WITH HIM.
